For those who are unfamiliar with bulletin boards, here is some quick tips for making your life a lot easier.
First of all, a forum is not as complex as you think. Its simple and straight forwards as any other website. Let us explain some of the basic ideas here,

You can post replies to a thread by clicking the "Post Reply" button
on left top and left bottom of the posts. It will take you to a new window with a text editor.


BBCodes are used for formating text and to post links and images. BBCodes are similar to codes we use in Orkut for formating text. More about BBCodes is here..

A new Topic / Thread can be started by clicking the button "New Topic"


3 points to be noted before starting a new topic :

1. Search for a similar topic . If it exists please avoid starting a new thread for it to avoid repetition.
2. Post in relevant categories. It will help in avoiding warnings and also help in getting better responses.
3. Title of a new topic must be clear and simple. Avoid titles like "Help mee! " or "Is it true? " and use sensible titles like "Paying guest in Pattom"

You can edit your own posts in any thread by clicking the edit button inside the post left to the profile info.


Avoid editing as much as possible to avoid confusion.

When posting a new topic or editing the first post of a topic, click the “Poll creation” tab below the main posting form; if you cannot see this, you do not have appropriate permissions to create polls. Enter a title and at least two options in the appropriate fields, making sure each option is on a separate line in the textarea. You can also set the number of options users may select during voting under “Options per user”, a time limit in days for the poll (0 for infinite duration) and lastly the option to allow users to amend their votes.

Attachments are allowed in TvmLife. But please dont abuse the feature.

.exe files are not allowed in attachments. Points to be noted before attaching a file to TvmLife.com

1. Avoid copyrighted materials
2. Before posting zipped content , perform a thorough virus check.
3. Nudity/Violence related images are not allowed.

Breaking any of the above rules may impose an immediate ban.
