Ham radio station at science museum

The Science and Technology Museum here will set up a Ham radio station on its premises with technical assistance from Model Engineering College run by the IHRD.

The station will be part of a Ham gallery that will be set up inside the museum. According to museum director Arul Jerald Prakash, a three-month training programme will be instituted to prepare persons for the wireless operators licence test conducted by the Ministry of Communications, government of India.

Initially, training will be given to 50 persons.

Inauguration of the station is at 6 pm (29-10-2008) tommorow. Free demo will be there from 3pm . Please use it!!
